I don't know if I should keep playing the game, knowing that this update could be the last, and on top of that, like Forsaken, simply playing it is generating profits for someone who isn't good. Sure, Simon might not be a monster like Soul, but still, defending someone who's homophobic is ridiculous.
To say I'm sad about this feels like an understatement. I know it's just a game, but knowing the current Roblox platform and being a big fan of games like Doors... this feels like a stab in the balls. Of course, that's what Better Discovery and other games inspired by Grace are for, which I may or may not like, or even consider better. But I did have a great affection for Grace, and even more so to its creator, because it seemed that he really wanted to spread a universal good to the whole world. I find it curious that before this drama started, I literally checked Simon's profile to reread his About Me. And to reread it now, after what he did, is simply heartbreaking.
It's not just me who feels this way; many Grace fans who found charm in this game are also super heartbroken. And some had to come out and confess that they started crying because of it. And yes, I already said it, it's just a game and even they know it, but I think it's very understandable because the game is about cleansing your soul and becoming a better person, and it deals mostly with faith, Many people with personal problems found this great and decided to take refuge in this game to feel better. And you want to know something, BDbros? That hurts to the very core of my soul.
Even so, I'll try to put this behind me, and I hope Grace's fans are doing well. I hope you had a good time on this April Fools Day guys.
I can’t think of too much to say, if I’m gonna be honest. But, as a fan as well, I too, am sad. Not as sad as some, but still, all of those hours I put into this game, just for this to happen. I really did enjoy the game in general, and I really think it did help or motivate me through tough times and some of my personal problems. I guess we could still enjoy the soundtracks. The game itself is still great as ever, it’s just that, you know, isn’t the same knowing Simon’s actions recently. A whole community of people really did love this game, and it must’ve really hurt for them hearing this. It must’ve also hurt for Christians as well, seeing a fellow Christian do that. I still have some hope that he can learn from this and realize that it isn’t ok, and also apologize, before things really do get bad. Sure, not everybody would forgive him, and it’d still be there, but he’d at least learn from his mistake. But we’ll just have to see. I wish for the best, and I hope you all have a good night, my BDBros. (unless time zones idk, but still, have a goodnight)
PS for Patrick: I hope I didn’t come off as rude or a jerk on that “smallest violin” post I made. I promise, I just wanted to try and lighten things up a bit. Anyways, seeya
