Roblox Keeps Digging Deeper.

Roblox just introduced Roblox Kids and Roblox Select, and it sucks. Roblox Kids is for 5-9 I think? And unverified users. There is no chat, only games with minimal and mild maturity ratings are allowed, and voice chat and party chat are also not allowed.

Roblox Select is somewhat similar to regular Roblox, but it’s split up into two groups. Group 1 is 9-12, they can only see chat and most of the stuff from Roblox Kids applies to them. However, you can chat here if you get a parent’s permission which is nice I suppose. Group 2 is 12-15, and it’s much more relaxed. Group two gets full chat access, including party and voice chat. And gets access to Moderate rated games.

Regular Roblox is now only for 16+ users (which is almost nobody) You get full access to all games and chat so that’s nice I guess.

I already mentioned this, but to reiterate, all users that have not completed an age check will be put into Roblox Kids. This sucks so so so much, and I think it might just be time to move on from Roblox for good.

I will personally enjoy the last few days of Roblox before they decide to launch this update. And knowing Roblox, they are not going to back down from this. I’m probably just going to quit after this update launches, I can’t be bothered to keep up with all this bullshit.

We are so screwed rn man. There’s literally nothing else to say other than that. We’re simply so screwed.
Oh and a tad bit unrelated I guess, but do y’all think any of the Roblox YouTubers might quit Roblox as well anytime soon? Or nah? And even if that did happen, would it possibly help to change the minds of Roblox???

genuinely only options for devs:

1. don't do roblox's crappy verification and be banished from your passion
2. do the scan and only be allowed to publish for what is probably less than 10% of active players
3. give up the id and buy the subscription, but be heavily creatively limited if you try to publish for the unverified / kids group

all options are going to kill either passion or income for most devs, or maybe both. devs explode, player counts do as well, so i feel real damage coming from this update
unverified players might as well finally pack it up from this rotting shattered platform
